J. Krishnamurti: Meta Cognition

Krishnamurti here discusses the observer as the observed. He is examining the concept of meta cognition and from there arises the possibility of meta programming. The infinite plurality of the observing self, which frees the sense of self from emotional self referential affiliation and identification. This is what Gurdjieff described as the 'True Intellectual Centre'. It is intellectual freedom and flexible mental reflexivity. Centred in the prefrontal cortex on the right hemisphere it is responsible for free choice decision making and is the centre of the personality. The true personality or Real Self, not the 'false / adaptive' or 'pathological' self, sometimes referred to as the ego in psycho spiritual parlance.
